After the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnic (ASUP), has suspended 15-day-Old Nationwide strike by its members effectively from Wednesday, November 28, 2017, YABATECH declared tomorrow, December 1, public holiday to mark this year's Maulud Nabiyy Day.
According to the Bulletin, the Rector, Dr. Mrs. Kudrat Ladipo sent greetings to all faithful Muslims on the anniversary. She appealed that the celebration be conducted in such a way to promote further peace on the campus.

However, all academic activities are expected to commence immediately after the Public Holiday.
